Moving your workouts from Strong

Strong saves your history as a CSV file. I recognize its columns myself: date, workout name, duration, exercise, set order, weight, reps and notes.

Step 1. Export a CSV from Strong

  1. In Strong, open Profile and tap the settings gear.
  2. Scroll down and pick Export Strong Data.
  3. Strong saves a CSV file to your phone — then send it to me.

I recognize the columns by their English headers. If your Strong is in another language, the bot asks about the columns one by one, and the app needs a file with English headers — switch Strong to English before you export.

Menu path per public guides as of October 2026; newer versions of Strong may name things differently.

Step 2. Load it into the bot

  1. Open the bot and go to 🔧 Settings → đŸ“Ĩ Import CSV. While your diary is empty, the đŸ“Ĩ Import history from Hevy/Strong button sits right in the main menu.
  2. Send the CSV file as a document — as is, no edits.
  3. Check what I read and tap ✅ Upload all. Until then I log nothing.

Or load it into the iPhone app

  1. In the app, open Settings → Import CSV and pick the file. From Hevy it's shorter: pick Athlete Diary in the Share window.
  2. I show a preview: workouts, sets, units and the exercises I didn't recognize.
  3. All good — run the import.

What I do with the file

Bring your history over — and keep going from where you were.
