Dumbbell Lunges
Dumbbell lunges train the legs and glutes one leg at a time, with balance work on top.

Setup
Stand tall, dumbbells hanging at your sides, feet hip-width. Torso upright, abs braced, eyes forward.
Execution
- Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand at your sides — starting position.
- Inhale and step forward, lowering yourself until both knees bend to about 90°.
- Exhale and push off your front foot back to the starting position. Repeat on the other leg.
Common mistakes
- Step too short — the knee shoots far past the toes and the heel lifts; step longer.
- Front knee caving in — keep it over your foot.
- Torso falling forward — chest up.
- Slamming your knee into the floor — lower to a touch or just short of it, under control.
